Nope, I think Kamala will have trouble in those states b/c she raised her hand on getting rid of private insurance. Plus, she's associated with SF (way, way left of middle America) and Willie Brown. He was FILTHY.

Warren's plans are too big. Scary to middle America. Need an incrementalist.

And can we talk double standards briefly? I don’t even know who Willie Brown is, though you say he’s filthy. Donald Trump is an accused rapist, traitor, money launderer, and he keeps Epstein and about a hundred monsters and traitors and Nazis as his friends and advisors but that’s cool? Didn’t Dotard Jr try this already? Just because she isn’t the descendant or enslaved Africans Americans doesn’t mean she isn’t African American. Harris Warren Buttigieg - all these and more would bring back sanity and decency to the White House. Decency that the GOP has worked hard to kill.

Speaking as a Democratic Indian woman, yes, this is one of my big concerns about Kamala Harris. I think that (in the 2020 election against Trump, at least) the country would elect a person of color OR a woman, but not someone who is both. Maybe it’s sad that we aren’t there yet, but it’s what it is. My other concern is that she’s too far left (or at least is projecting that she is) on race, immigration, and healthcare. And also comes off as insincere too.

I agree 100% with the column - I read it this morning and felt like he was voicing exactly what I’ve been feeling for weeks. My personal pick would be Amy Klobuchar - she is one of the few that hasn’t lurched far left.
