It’s an everything forum….
What do people think…Will Ecnl do anything to counter MLSN and the new expansion happening in fall of 25? Allow someway to start SY early in league play? |
| No don’t think so. They can start building teams based on school year and limiting how many trapped players they bring on, but parents are too crazy and can’t see the vision |
Nope they will be at the mercy of IS club decisions which will be to follow all the rules. |
In the last podcast didn't they mention something about leagues going against the mandate being the equivalent of "jay walking". With the recent MLSN news I'd be curious if ECNL keeps the door open for a 25 transition. |
| ECNL is not doing anything to counter MLSN/ga right now. Last move they have is to snag the last 5 or so big clubs from GA |
I agree with this they could do something after MSLN announced this move after the pod cast but possible they knew about it before. Will be interesting to see there next move or will they just sit on their hands and wait a whole year (wasted year). |
I feel like it was an underwhelming year in regard to ECNL. They didn’t make any exciting announcements. Haven't really given any solutions on combatting the growing MLSN |
You’re an idiot. |
Because the whole debate for ECNL isnt really about “playing with friends” or random rec league participation rates, it is 100% about trying to gaining a RAE advantage. The problem these dopes have is they think a group phenomenon is an individual benefit. They’re all idiots. |
Or not having trapped players…found another BY parent clutching their pearls… |
I feel like ECNL finally pissed people off that matter (MLS / US Soccer) who have mostly been ignoring them up until this point. |
| I don’t think the ECNL players in Florida complained about the 100+ college coaches at their games last weekend. ECNL didn’t seem to piss them off. |
Girls? |
Considering a group is an aggregation of individuals and groups pre and post change comprise different individuals, how does the change from SY to BY not encompass individuals with a benefit and individuals with a loss? Also the leagues are calling the shots and they wouldn't have an RAE change, so how do explain many leagues supporting the change? Finally note that the "vote" leaned towards SY but a minority, around 40 percent of kids get an RAE advantage moving from BY to SY. Hopefully having SY and BY leagues will begin to reduce RAE. |
What many leagues are supporting which change? |
