Can you call the police on people who almost cause accidents?

I have the make/model/plate, but guessing cops don't care?

Will my mediating help the person not be a shitty dangerous driver? No.

You'll notice, OP, that in life nothing is ever changed until someone dies. And sometimes MANY people have to die, in terrible circumstances, for people to do anything. And sometimes not even then.

Still waiting for gun control, after all these Kindergartners died.

No, but once a cop witnessed an SUV force my little car off the road and pulled the guy over. I thanked the cop on the department’s FB page.

The only thing I’ve been able to do is call in a drunk or drowsy driver. Long stretch of route 7, swerving over and over again. But we shared the highway for a longtime so I could tell the police where they were.

If you’re at an intersection, by the time you call, I don’t think they’d care ... bc you don’t have the location. And they’re probably not continuing the bad behavior

Will your meditation make you become a less shitty person? Probably not! But it’s eorth s try.

The fact you are still thinking about it means you need meditation.

Also read Eckeet Tolle to understand how unhealthy it is to worry about people in traffic.

What evidence is there other than your recollection of events? If there were an accident, that would provide some evidence of liability that you could corroborate, but on its own, your word isn’t enough.

OP here. If I had a dash cam I would definitely be calling. Too bad I don't.

I am still thinking about it because it just happened and the idiot almost caused me severe injury and likely would have totaled my car. Its totally normal to be thinking about it 15 MINUTES LATER.

I do, especially if I suspect they’re drunk.

Tail them while you call the cops (in a safe and legal fashion). Otherwise what's the point.

You called it an "accident" in your title. Do you mean a collision? If it really was an accident then get over it. If it's negligence then... yeah, start reporting that before they cause a collision that hurts someone.

I wish. One of our neighbors is from another country and regularly drives on the wrong side of the road.

When someone is driving badly and then has a collision, it's not an accident. It's a collision. It's a crash. It's a predictable and preventable event.
