I guess they feel they can’t get their kids into private school otherwise. I found it easy to gain admission to my nursery school - 12th grade private, but that’s not the way NYC necessarily works.

Speaking as a former teacher, director, & board member, this kind of drama is sadly all too common. Obviously not as high profile, but US Kids & Tiny Findings are not immune from this petty preschool drama.
