| Can a woman have kids naturally at 44? |
| Yes- but it is very rare |
| Of course. It’s just rare. |
|
Yes. It's rare.
|
| I did. I’d call it more uncommon than rare. |
| I had my second naturally at 46. |
|
I grew up with a girl who was a surprise pregnancy for her parents. Her siblings were all 15-20 years older than us. Her mom was 47 when she was born and had just assumed that her early pregnancy symptoms were menopause.
Uncommon, yes. Not so sure that I would call it "rare". It might be in this day and age, with widespread access to and use of birth control. But, biologically speaking, a woman can get pregnant up until menopause, whenever that may be. Of course, odds of complications or issues with the fetus increase with maternal age. |
| Yes. But it's not likely. |
|
Yes. I had one at 44.
|
|
Uncommon sure, but not impossible.
My grandmother had her 3rd at 44 (in the 40s). |
|
My great grandmother had her last child, the 11th, at age 46.
My aunt had her 8th and 9th children at 41 and 43. It's possible but more common in women who have had multiple births already. |
| Yes! |
| I would say uncommon but possible. Dh's maternal grandmother had MIL at 45 in the 1930s. |
|
My MIL is the result of a surprise pregnancy at age 46. Her mom thought her periods had stopped because she was going through menopause.
I don't think it's all that rare if there isn't access to birth control. |
| Yes. More like if she has other children. |
