I hate these things. I could be because I'm really petite 4'11" and 108 but I feel like these things are so frumpy. Even in petite sizes these things are hideous. Am I the only one?
I'm also petite but heavier than you (5'2" 145lbs) and I also think they're awful. I'm also incredibly frustrated with everything being so high-waisted. I am having a really hard time finding skirts and pants that fit me.
I love them - I’m 4’8” and 82lbs. Midi length juniors dresses/skirts make perfect maxi length on me.
I love them but I’m 5’10
"nun-length"
I'm 5'9" and think they are great. Not every style works for every body type.
Yeah, I think they only work on tall people. I am 5'5 so I avoid them like the plague. |
Agreed - only a tall people thing. They look awful on short women, regardless of weight.
they look bad on everyone.
|
I think the length can be fine on everyone - you just have to get something that fits. For the shorter ladies, get a petite size (so the skirt isn't too voluminous) and get it tailored if necessary. Midis look WAY better than maxis on short ladies! I also think the high-waisted trend is cute although I have no idea how it would look on me. Better than the sausage-leg skinny jeans trend that would never die.

4’8” and 82 lbs is not most women. It is smaller than my fifth grader.
I hate the midi skirts and I’m 5’4” and 135. Way more common of an adult American woman size. |
Depends on the body type.
I’m 5’2 and thin, and can get away with them if I wear heels.
I'm 5 ft 7 and will only wear them with some sort of heel. Always right on the cusp of tall without the benefit of it.
Yeah, I'm 5'10" and they look frumpy on me too.
