This actually brought me to tears. So horrifying.

Articles are saying the toddler was TEN FEET from the shore line.

My heart breaks for the parents, but if true, they let their guard down way, way too much. Extremely sad.

Scary shit.

The average alligator is nearly 800 lbs. The ones who are big enough to eat people can't climb a fence. Alligators usually lumbar around. I have doubts about the video's authenticity.

The average weight of an ADULT, fully grown male alligator.

Alligators hatch and they are maybe 4 inches long. The one in the post simply isn't fully grown. Why doubt is authenticity?

That's beautiful to watch! Different kind of fence?

I watched part of the video clip, the sheriff said that the body was completely intact. They were also going to do an autopsy which doesn't make sense.

Does that indicate drowning?

Alligators drag their prey down and then roll it over and over to drown it. Could be the child tasted bad so the gator never ate him.

No it indicates maybe drowning or maybe be drowned of injuries from bites. The autopsy is to determine which so cause of death can be declared.

They do an autopsy anytime someone dies prematurely.

Not always, but it's not uncommon.

Closure for the poor family.

I'm pretty sure they will never have closure from this.
