SJC website is never current.

It was current when Bobby Horsey was head coach. There has been no information posted since his departure. I inquired once, because my son is interested in playing lacrosse there, and was told the coach is not a member of the faculty or there during the day. They did not provide his name, was very matter of fact.

I've heard parents have complained to the Archdiocese about his abusive behavior.

Yeah I've heard all the stories. Some from my own son. But he also has a very strong group of vocal admirers and there are mothers in the crowd too. It's surprising I know but he seems to really turn some kids around - into much much better lax players. That's what some people want.

Please don't justify his behavior, that is why he is still around

how much money will SJC spend to try and lure Giblin back. things should be very interesting if this is true.

Not a good look when a program has had 3 different head coaches in 5 years. The boys deserve better.

If true, good move. They should rehire Bobby Horsey who is a class act.

Horsey is a good guy, but a mediocre coach. If STJ wanted Giblin, they could have hired him months ago.

Horsey was a very average coach and wasn't even liked by his players.

Good riddance to a bully. Coaching through intimidation and humiliation is never okay. He is no role model. Have seen plenty of coaches get the best out of their players through other means. This is good news for SJC.

Who knows what the SJC decision-making and hiring process looks like.

My guess is that Giblin was considered, but people argued for Horsey and then for this new guy. How much credibility can these people have left after these two debacles.

Giblin is no longer a possibility. He is at O'Connell as a teacher and coach. And he doesn't have to deal with the possibly unrealistic expectations at SJC or the lunacy that seems to prevail at SJC.

What about the kids that Trig recruited to play for him?
