I was home the same day and out in public within a week. You don’t stay in the hospital 2 weeks and then need to hide for 3 months.

95% of swelling is gone in less than 30 days and so is bruising. I barely had any bruising and what I had could be covered with makeup.

Her face isn’t sagging, btw. No jowls and no saggy neck. There is nothing to lift.

She isn’t have a facelift for FFS. Don’t be an idiot.

My son’s friend was sick and thin for a while before they determined it was Crohn’s. He spent weeks at the hospital receiving infusions, and then surgery to remove damage.

Bingo

This was my thought. I spent less than 24 hours in the hospital for each childbirth. I spent 4 days in ICU followed by 26 days in the hospital for Crohn’s.

Yeah. I think it’s Crohns - gastro related.

The uptick in b.s. directed at Kate after my favorite freedom finders left the cruel shackles of useless wealth and minor public works for podcasting stardom is pathetic. So are the women trying to pick at her here from afar - you couldn’t sound chunkier and uglier with real effort, and you know it.

Speaking of nasty.

If the extended Universal Standard sizes (almost) fit….

No mystery about your nastiness.

Yes, open colon resection.

Does this usually require an ostomy bag?

My brother had a colectomy for Crohn's disease, plus they took his diseased gallbladder and had to repair an anal fistula (caused by the Crohn's). He was like inpatient for 9 days. The thing about inflammatory bowel disease is that sometimes people are really sick by the time they need surgery, and you need to get that under control. My brother needed iv nutrition, steroids and biologics bf he was healthy enough to withstand surgery.

She always looks active and healthy—and as short ago as Christmas. Did your brother appear sick, was he active?

Not the poster you are responding to, but makeup and filters can work wonders. My son got rail think like her with Crohn's. She is unnaturally thin. In his case the small intestine was impacted.

I think so too, but I don’t think Kate Middleton could’ve kept up with all of her appearances so far if she had ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease. Aren’t those conditions so painful they are debilitating?

Even if she had IBS or untreated Celiac disease, I’m telling you that someone in the public would have noticed she was running to the ladies room all the time.

This had to be relatively sudden onset is my guess. Is there any chance it could have been complications from appendicitis?

1. A lot of her photos are very heavily edited so it wouldn’t be that hard to make her look healthy
2. Her appearances are all relatively short and if her UC or Crohn’s was previously well managed by something like humira she might not need to dash away that frequently.

That’s not really true. There were stories about how she allegedly made one of the York princesses cry from way back. I don’t think she deserves to be dunked on as much as she gets but to blame it on the Sussexes is inaccurate and stupid.

The other thing I’m thinking of is that she won’t be in hospital for two weeks and will be home sooner and the palace wants to keep the pres away from Windsor by saying she’s in hospital for two weeks….
I’m sure we’ll all find out eventually. Wish her a successful recovery.

She would never get a boob job. Too obvious. A ponytail facelift? For sure. But none of that would require such a long hospitalization.

Super interesting. If this is true, it certainly could be UC or Crohn’s.

I also just learned that risk for hyperemesis gravidarum is passed from mother to daughter. And having a mother who had HG places you at greater risk for UC, Crohn’s, and inflammatory bowel disease in general. So, it’s all at least loosely related.

Hope she gets better soon! Can’t be any fun.

He does not look happy but that could be because he hates the press and is sick of them intruding on every development in his life.

It would be awful.

(Plus if he was smiling people would write how weird it is that he seems happy go lucky while his wife is hospitalized. He might be trying for a neutral expression while being photographed)

1. He told them where he would be
2. He knows the camera is there given how close the photo is. Of course he’s not going to be smiling like a weirdo.

Wow, I'd never heard that about a hyperemesis / IBD link...I'm the month hospital stay Crohn's PP and I had HG with both pregnancies. I'm not sure HG was a diagnosis back then, but I know my mom sick enough when pregnant with me that she went back to live with her parents for a few months.
