This is the most ableist nonsense. You're well enough to be at the gym, complaining about needing to cover your face so other people can go to the grocery store?! And you whine about this?!! |
Yeah, that soggy sweaty cloth mask that I had hanging off my chin to show my virtue really saved my life. Thank god you steered me onto the path of glory and light. |
You are in charge of your health, not me or anyone else around you. If you truly believed in masks, the nine that you have stapled to your face will be enough that I don't need to wear one. |
DP. Do you think that everyone should be masked in public places forever? |
And at home. You can never be too careful. Every little bit helps, right? |
I was traveling over the holidays. It made me sad to see a family all masked. Particularly the children, ages 3,4,5
They wore mini N95 masks tight to their faces. |
Yes, I know people like this too. It's health anxiety that's morphed into full blown mental illness. I feel terrible for their children that have had a normal childhood and childhood experiences taken from them. |
When all you've got to say is hyperbolic nonsense, please consider the merits of scrolling on by. Nobody needs to see your face OR your comments. |
Why the hell would this make you feel anything at all? Parents traveling with their kids tried to protect them from the flu, RSV, covid, hand foot and mouth, and whatever else is making the rounds right now, and you felt sad? You may need therapy if people minding their own business make you feel sad, PP. |
My kids travel, play sports, and have several extracurriculars each. They wear masks indoors. Nothing has been taken from them, unless you zealots make minding my kids' faces your business somehow and start some nonsense drama irl like you try here. They're fine. Leave them alone and you will be too. |
DP. Your kids have been wearing masks indoors since march 2020? Like everywhere they go indoors, for almost 4 years? I’m actually curious because I had no idea people were doing that. In my world of working in person and sending kids to school, dcum is the only place Covid still exists. |
You don't ever think about COVID? Ever? I guess you don't have elderly parents or vulnerable co-workers or don't mind missing work or activities when you are sick. Some people use masks because of these concerns. Personally, I was proud of my 20-something who works in a public-facing job for testing repeatedly when he got a cough/cold, and then wearing a high quality mask when he returned to work (even though he was negative) out of concern for his pregnant co-worker. I guess the world looks different when the only thing that matters is you and your family. |
this is far different from the mentally ill PP who is bragging about forcing her kids to mask in 2024 |
Actually I do have elderly parents and I see hundreds of coworkers every day. My parents and coworkers don’t obsess over Covid. A few people have worn masks at my work in the past 6 months or so, but certainly not every day and not often. Only if they’re sick. My 80 yr old parents don’t mask indoors, unless they are sick. I have never seen a teacher at my 4 yr old’s school masked, let alone a child or parent. So no, Covid is something I basically read about on dcum, I rarely think about it otherwise. I don’t have any issue with people wearing masks, I just thought it was interesting that the previous poster was suggesting her kids have worn masks 100% of their time indoors for almost four years. I genuinely don’t know anyone like that. |
