Rich Men North of Richmond

Don’t expect 95% of people on DCUM to understand the song or the movement it is now garnering from all walks of life in the middle and lower class.

A lot of us in the DC area are from small towns and rural areas. You can’t gaslight us about the country white boy self-pity movement. Why aren’t you asking why these white boys didn’t study and get degrees like Asians do? Isn’t that what you guys all say about Blacks and Hispanics?

What “attempts to shut it down” are you talking about?

I'm fat and would never support someone who thinks my weight makes me less of a person.

You just can’t handle the fact that it’s about class, not race. Plug in anyone in that dudes place and it still makes sense to the middle and lower class. Just because FOX news and GOP jumped to it and trying to adopt the message first, chaps your but. To be honest, this is the perfect opportunity for the DNC to capitalize on this and adopt the message. Adopt it and share what they are doing to uplift the middle and lower class. Isn’t that what they are supposed to be about? The little guy?

Your weight does not make you less than a person. As a matter of fact, we should be rallying around overweight people in our communities and help promote a healthy lifestyle. Especially with covid still out there.

Nobody did anything to this guy. Nobody made him “the little guy” except himself. He was born in a place and time where he controlled his own destiny. It’s just all misplaced self-pity about imaginary grievances.

Man, screw this guy. I am white and lived in a trailer home with my single mom as a kid. Neither the government nor rich people ever stood in my way, I just had to work hard. These people are so entitled it is sickening.

Guessing you take issue with the fat shaming Donald Trump posts.

Now the working class whites have to actually compete with the rest of the world. Bring on the fentanyl and sad songs.

Working class whites are not a monolith and you are being simplistic and bigoted in your analysis.

What a crock. Asians aren’t excelling in STEM in rural public schools in red states either. Racist nonsense.

If you never personally faced police harassment then I seriously doubt you understand the reality of being poor and broken in this country. Maybe you should let other people with different experiences speak for themselves.
