Everyone recruits. Top IAC and WCAC schools all recruit.

No one is disputing the fact that they may get recruited. What they are arguing - correctly - is that the top schools are very well aware of the academic deficiencies of many in the WCAC. Its all about the academic index and admissions.

What about the middie on Prep that had HSPT too low for SJC, who would take a football player that low. VA kid that peaked when he was 14. Holdback of course.

You are kidding, right? You really want to start comparing who got in and who didn’t.

Ivy League men's lacrosse is such a hot conference, it is no longer just about going to an elite academic school and using lacrosse to help get in, but playing elite D1 lacrosse AND being at an elite school. Makes it that much harder to get recruited in the last few years and going forward.

Not that hard if you’re good. Be good

Safe to say most of the top players at St. John’s could easily get in any IAC school. Prep was ready to take the Coach and any player he wanted if he took the job. Said no thanks.

How much you paying for this liberal experience? 80k per year? I’ll take the 14k a year tuition and study at one of the top engineering programs in the country.

Agreed. Stay in state.

I'd actually like to see the stats on what D1 players major in. I'll guess "business" and "economics."

Really difficult to keep this thread on track about HS lacrosse. Need to get back to bashing the Madlax rankings. No way SJC is below Prep and barely above Dematha.

It'll work itself out when season starts. Just enjoy it.

I don't even know if DeMatha belongs in the top 10. I could maybe see them at #9

What did they accomplish last year?

They stole a top attack from Bullis by giving free tuition. That’s an accomplishment.
Anonymous
That may the case, and if so Dave Mitchell is getting more aggressive by the day. But don't think Dematha is ranked 5.

pretty sure this player you are referring to lives in the Bowie area and commuting to and from Bowie to Bullis on a daily basis is no small task.

Perhaps the family wanted a change.

April 18 - St. John’s vs Bullis

Will see who runs the DMV.

The player that left Bullis does not live in Bowie. Where he does live is 5 mins closer to DeMatha than Bullis. The reason he left was free schooling. Pretty good reason if you ask me.
