| Op here, I really like the name Sarah but would like to spell it with a C, which cultures of languages permit this? Is there any way that I can get away with spelling Sarah in a C instead of the usual S? |
| I think everyone would pronounce it Kara. |
This. Have you considered Cierra? |
| You mean... Cara? |
| I knew someone with he last name Cera pronounced like Sarah. I don’t think you can do CA and expect an S sound because of phonics, but Cera would read as Sarah. I think I would find it annoying to be named Cera and constantly have to correct people but maybe your daughter will love being unique. |
| Cera was the dinosaur in land before time...because she was a triCERAtops, tehehe. |
| I know a Ciara. |
| Cera |
| Sarach |
|
Cerra
Cerah |
| No |
Lol. "What culture can I appropriate for my purposes?" |
| Why in the world would you condemn your daughter to a lifetime of having her name mispronounced and/or misspelled, just so you can have a moment of narcissistic novelty? |
| Cera |
The culture is Disney, and you’ll fit right in OP!
