| Am I wrong to think this is odd in June?! |
| Yes. I would suggest something different. Very boring and my ass would be holding the wall the entire time |
| Not necessarily odd but not romantic the way a picturesque outdoor rink could be in the winter. |
| I don’t want to go ice skating either! Haha! |
|
My DS broke his ankle on an ice skating isn’t date. He was 12 - first date ever.
Never again. |
| How old are you? |
| 34 |
| Yes. Ice skating in June is a no-go for me. |
Sounds fun to me! Send him my number.
|
| I had a blind date with a guy 30 years ago and we went skating. His idea. Too bad he was the worst skater ever. I’ve never seen someone with a complete lack of ankle support. Pulled me down trying to keep from falling and destroyed my knee. Never been the same. |
| No- keep first date to dinner followed by a nice walk. |
| If you are both very capable skaters, why not? If you’re not, definitely don’t do it. Landing on your butt or head on the first date doesn’t lead to a second one. |
|
As others have said, make sure you know how to skate (especially if you are the guy), before you suggest it.
Keep the first date to be drinks, especially if you are meeting them for the first time via online dating. |
Yeah. I like ice skating and would like this but wouldn't invite someone who had never done it before because it wouldn't be fun. Otherwise count me in! Even and actually especially in June; it's a nice way to get out of the heat and still do something active! |
| First dates require alcohols and darkness. Plan accordingly. |
