Hi folks,
Considering PPA Premiere for the fall...anyone have any experiences to share? Heard a lot of good things, but would like to hear a bit more before committing. thanks |
| What age group |
| Yes what age group and what team? |
|
U11.
|
| No complaints. Nice coaches, nice kids, nice families. |
| My son is currently in U12 and he loves it. There seems to be a big difference between the top team and the other three teams though. The top team gets an extra practice per week and plays in a different league. He's on a lower team and it doesn't bother him and I'm not sure if this is the case other age groups as well. |
| Which team OP? |
| Top team will be in EDP, lower teams in Sam Select. |
Probably 2nd team |
|
Think the coaches are great. Still a newish program, just right for kids who play multiple sports.
Is this boys or girls? Coming from a travel program, select or rec? |
| My kid is in that age group. We like it a lot. Practices can be a bit far if you live in certain areas (we travel about 20-30 minutes to and from practice 2x per week) but we can manage it. |
| I adore PPA. Nice coaches with the right attitude. They support kids who play multiple sports and don't penalize kids for missing things due to family or cultural events. We've had a great development and rec experience. |
Sorry, development and premier. |
| I like that the parents are by and large sane and supportive. Few crazy angry soccer parents relative to some other leagues I've seen. |
| My son is currently on a U12 premier team. It’s his 4th year with PPA (3 years on premier). He loves it and won’t consider trying out anywhere else. In our experience, the boys are very supportive of each other. The coaches are a great blend of firm but knowing they are still kids. And we’ve encountered very few of the crazy intense soccer parents. Great for kids who love playing competitive soccer but also do other sports/activities. |
