SAT scores to be adjusted by SES

Story in WSJ behind paywall. Reports this was tested at 50 universities this year. Says universities see adjusted score but student does not.

How do they determine SES?

Scores are not adjusted. They have added an additional score.

The reason i posted this here, though not knowing there was the other thread, is because this is the same approach COGAT did for MCPS with this year's CES applicants.

Whatever they're determining, it's not a student's socioeconomic status.

I don't think CoGAT has anything to do with that. MCPS did something alike, not CoGAT.
