Tilted Uterus- am I screwed?

Anonymous
Hi all- I just got my HSG report and great news was that no fibroids or polyps and my tubes are clear. however- the report said I have a retroverted uterus which means tilted. We have been trying for 7 months. I have never been pregnant ever and I’m wondering if this is a significant issue. has anyone conceived naturally with a tilted uterus before?

I did, my first child no problem. Went on to have secondary infertility, but I don't think it was related to my uterus.

Yes I have 2 kids naturally. I didn’t even know it was tilted till after 1st kid. My OB said it doesn’t affect ability to conceive. How old are you?

My mom and I both have them. She had six kids from ages 23 to 35. I started trying with my DH right after we got married when I was 30 and we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Who the heck knows.

I was told in my mid 20s that I had a tilted uterus, but also that it wasn’t necessarily a permanent condition. Sometimes a uterus is fixed in a “tilted” position, but many times it is not. That was the only time a gyn mentioned it, and I went on to conceive easily twice and have healthy pregnancies. Either the tilt adjusted itself or it didn’t cause any problems.

I did. Conceived two with help and third naturally. The issue was pcos, not the tilted uterus.

I have a tilted uterus, but we were diagnosed with the male factor secondary infertility.

I have a tilted uterus and the only thing it affected was the way I carried. I had pretty small pregnancy bumps but average sized (7-8 lbs) babies, but I'm also long torsoed so I think that played a factor.

I have this and had my baby at 38 after only trying a few months

My stepmom was infertile and her MD blamed her tilted uterus. Who knows.

I have a tilted uterus and conceived naturally 3 times. The 2nd pregnancy took almost a year of trying, but I think my short luteal phase was probably more of an issue than anything else. The 1st pregnancy was on the first month trying and the 3rd was within a few months.

All doctors I spoke to say that it doesn't matter.

I have one, but got pregnant first time having sex the month after I got off the pill. I’ve never heard that it’s related to difficulty conceiving.

I did. Twice. I delivered smaller babies slightly early, but one was a placenta issue so I don’t know if the tilt impacted gestation length.

7 months isn’t long. My kids are more than a decade apart.

Hang in there!
