Kohl’s thread got me wondering. How do they rank in status and cost?
Sears JC Penny Kohl’s Macy’s Nordstrom Lord & Taylor Bloomingdales I know there are regionals like Dillard’s or Belk but I think generally those are like Kohl’s? |
This looks about right. |
Dillard’s , belk and regionals are on par with Macy’s Nordstrom and L and T are about equal Above Bloomingdales you have Saks and NM |
Nieman Marcus above Bloomingdales |
Nordstrom is way above Mavys and L & T. |
I don’t think Bloomingdale’s is above Nordstrom at all! |
Kohl’s should be at the bottom |
My list although it can vary from region to region. The flagship Macy’s in NY would rank higher then the Montgomery Mall Nordstrom’s so this is an “on average” list.
Neimans Saks Bloomingdales Nordstrom L&T Macy’s JC Penny Sears Khols |
Saks has a terrible return policy. I don’t know how they stay in business. |
Bc ppl shopping there aren’t trying to make constant returns. |
Say goodbye to most of these department stores - - most are struggling to be profitable and will be a thing of the past.
Thanks in part to the young folks who aren’t interested in shopping in stores |
I think they're trying to close down. The Macy's downtown is such a mess. There are always giant racks of sale clothes everywhere and the fitting rooms are gnarly. |
x10000 Saks clientele aren’t sketchy. |
and Nordstrom’s clientele are? Nordstrom stores have one of the best return policies there is. |
this is the correct list. |
