| I am glad to see the leagues cooperate, but this alliance is a bit weird. NCSL has promotion/relegation, while CCL is a closed "by application only" system, which was established by several big clubs that ditched NCSL several years ago to create this closed system and justify higher training fees based on a more "elite" league. I think a better fit for NCSL would have been ODSL (lower level) and EDP (higher level), which both have pro/rel system. |

With ECNL2 impacting possibly impacting NPL and possibly CCL this makes sense. |

| CCL has been busy the last few weeks. First the partnership with the league in the NE, then CCL2 expansion in SW VA, and now NCSL. They may be trying to bookend EPL from the south and North. We already know EDP is rather light in VA given that the top clubs are CCL, NCSL, and VPL. |

It's been going on for decades. We laugh in my family spanning 50 years of soccer in the DMV how it's the same sh*t with new leagues and Clubs splitting and re-branding, re-forming. Nothing has changed. No league will be the Nirvana we are all looking for. It's just grown men and women playing baby games/tantrums and having turf wars. Yesteryear's State Teams, ODP became DA and ECNL all the same sh*t different packaging. It just seems to be getting more expensive and more inconvenient for parents...and much more driving. |
