Lee Harrison shopping center in Arlington has several decent family-friendly restaurants. It also has a great playground several blocks away. (Chestnut hills). |

There is a pretty nice City of Fairfax playground right next to Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers (hamburgers, hot dogs, custard) on 29 in Fairfax. If you park in the Freddy's lot, you can walk to the playground. (The official playground lot is not as convenient.) |
