The new'ish and very nice playground in Falls Church City (next to the farmers market site) is just 1-2 blocks away from several restaurants |
They aren't open for lunch except Sat/Sun. Just FYI. |
Sit on the patio at the restaurants that are right next to Rockville town square and while it's not a 'play area', kids love just running around on the fake grass and climbing the rocks in the square. |
The new Northside Social in Falls Church is right down the street from a nice park and library. |
Probably a hike for you, but posting for others who may be following. Barking Mad In Gaithersburg is great in warm weather because there’s outdoor dining adjacent to a splash fountain, so you can eat/drink while the kids play. Food is okay, but it’s a great set-up. |
Lots of good choices nearby and they often have the splash fountain going this time of year |
Rio in Gaithersburg. They have a playground, lake and restaurants |
The playground in Glover park (Rec Area) is right by lots of restaurants. |
There’s an Ethiopian place in Alexandria at Fayette and Queen that’s catty-corner from a pretty nice playground. The restaurant is super friendly to kids, and my two-year-Old (with an admittedly sophisticated palate) loves the food. |
There is a playground inside the restaurant at Joe’s Crab Shack in Fairfax |
Rio - Gaithersburg. There are ducks, geese, a play ground by the lake, a movie theater and plenty of restaurants to eat at. There is also a carousel in the summer. |
At this time of year, you could just order lunch to go and take a picnic just about anywhere. |
My kids love this one. |
It's like 2 blocks away. I don't think this is what OP is looking for. |
Lunch to go at Surfside on Wisconsin and eat at Guy Mason Recreation Center directly across the street. It's a good one. |
