College Selection Bed Party

Is this a new thing. DD graduation from HS last year and I never heard of it. Now I am seeing a bunch of HS senior girls posting picture of them in bed with a bunch of the college of choice t-shirts and sweatshirts etc on the bed with letter balloon behind them.

Sounds stupid.

Very stupid. Who cares where you got in?

The only thing that matters is where you are going.

The end.

My dd is going to a college in the NE and this seems to be huge among all the NJ girls she has met through the accepted students group. It’s pretty ridiculous to see them all on their bed covered in merchandise. We’ve never heard of a DC area kid doing this.

Tacky and self absorbed.....yuck. Not surprised it’s origins are in NJ.

Here’s an example for those that haven’t seen it. It’s the tackiest thing I’ve seen in a long time. My daughter is a senior and most kids in the DC area just post a pic with their college choice t shirt on once they decide.

The Indiana family should save the money they spent on all that crap because they're going to need it for those other 5+ college tuitions.

That's soooooo weird.

"Turn it up, y'all! I got into college, so let's eat crackers in bed!"

This is the most Basic White Girl thing I think I've ever seen.

I actually feel bad for these kids and kids in general today. Social media has everything in your face. So the girl that got rejected from her first choice, to the one that had to turn down her dream school for finances, and then they see all their friends doing this. We are not helping our kids. This is really, really sad.
