Sad songs say so much.

It may seem counterintuitive, but sad music can actually make you feel better. I’m on a sad music kick.

Does anyone have any great sad songs to share, lyrics, links or titles? Thank you in advance!

I’ll go first:

Gordon Lightfoot- If You Could Read My Mind

I have a sweet spot for the ballads of my youth. I love "just to be the next to be with you" tony rich project and "I can love you like that" all 4 one.

Maybe not your genre, but I can think of a couple of favorites:

Keane ‘somewhere only we know’: “if you have a minute why don’t we go Talk about it somewhere only we know.” Its the way he sings it.

And Radiohead ‘high and dry’: the entire song is so gloriously emotional. Even the guitar cries and whines a little bit

Always fleetwood mac’s ‘Landslide’

Fleetwood Mac - Silver Spring

Train - Drops of Jupiter

Sarah McLachlan - I Will Remember You

Tracy Chapman - Fast Car

Separated- Usher
Here without you- 3 doors down
One last cry- Brian Mcknight
Get away- Avant

I will see your recommendation of radiohead's high and dry and raise you with fake plastic trees. Old radiohead is the best radiohead.

Anyone old enough to remember the Smith's please please please let me get what I want?

The skit of Adele’s “Someone Like You” on SNL was the best!
