U.S. Secret Service Police at Hoover M.S.

I recently moved to the Rockville/Potomac area and saw U.S. Secret Service Police outside Herbert Hoover Middle School today. Does anyone know why they were posted out front?

It's not just the president's son that gets SS. Cabinet officials and other staff require security. A parent with a SS detail could be visiting.
