Imagine if Michelle had disappeared for weeks without a public engagement. People would have called her a lazy welfare queen (or some sort of ape a la Roseanne). But Melania is white so she deserves her privacy.

If the White House had actually said she was going to be recovering from surgery for a while, maybe people would have accepted that. But that is not how things happened and it has led to all the speculation.

There is something wrong with Melanie. Maybe she had plastic surgery (her face wrinkles when she smiles). That would explain why no close ups and no press invited to last night’s event. She may have had a breakdown, which explains why she’s not traveling and is making no public appearances.

Her weird disappearance is part and parcel of this entire weird presidency. His family is all a bunch of crazy bozos.

If Michelle Obama had done this, the right wing crazies would have been blasting conspiracy theories and racist labels all day long. It’s the lack of explanation about Melania’s sudden illness and her disappearance from public view that is troubling.

Exactly. Very troubling and Michelle Obama would not have gotten off easy if she disappeared for almost a month. People critized every thing she wore. Hillary was "dying" every time she was sick.
