Three stars from inside lacrosse for 2027 class (four and five stars come out later). I could have missed some in the list below.

IAC
Landon (M) (have 3-4 4/5 stars coming). Four seems like a lot.
Prep - 4 (A, M, M,M) (have at least one 4/5 star coming). Not sure why the one injured middie was rated given he didn't play in spring or summer.
Bullis (M, SSDM, D) - Still some very good players there
STA (D, G) - Possibly a 4 star in the fogo?

WCAC
SJC (A, M, M, SSDM, D) (one or more 4/5 stars coming) - some questionable stars given and not given. Is the fogo a 4?
Gonzaga (M, SSDM) - The middie/fogo/attack was a low surprise given the shine. Also, not a lot of players.
Good Counsel (A, D) - will the middie lefty be a 4?
DeMatha (A) - Not a lot behind the 25's
Heights (A) - could've been a 4?

Public
Stone Bridge (M) - Club pumped him a lot for a 4

There were some very questionable players given stars and some excellent players not rated higher. There definitely seems a bias towards playing in a lot of showcases and events with less regard to actual high performance even during those events.

STA is a mid tier school. Lags behind Sidwell, GDS, etc. in academics. Lags behind Prep, Landon, etc. in athletics. STA is for niche families who want a small, all-boys private school experience. STA has many talented students and many who couldn't hack it at Prep, Landon, or Gonzaga. STA lax has a strong '27 class and will be more competitive in IAC this year. But they'll have to settle for future hypothetical 'life outcome' victories while getting spanked on lax field by WCAC opponents. With all their wealth why don't STA alums do more to support the school?

I don’t put a lot credibility on inside lacrosse ability to assign stars accurately. There is no way that 2-3 guys can evaluate 1,000 players over a handful of tournaments. I have seen that once someone is recruited he ends up getting stars. Also some kids with stars don’t get recruited. I think IL puts a lot of weight on hype just because they don’t have manpower or time to effectively evaluate everyone. Also have seen 4 and 5-stars get smoked by no star kids.

They lost in OT to GC last year and beat the Heights in OT. They'll do just fine against WCAC opponents.

100 percent agree.

It’s a marketing ploy for eyes balls and clicks.

Some of these five stars won’t even see the field in college, just a year round club
Lax bro who likely can’t hack it in any other competitive team sport.

Top lacrosse schools have sidelines filled with 4 and 5 star players and some never see the field. But I guess you got recruited to a top program and enjoy the scouting team.

I think for four stars (or 5) we will see:

Landon - attack and pole
Prep - attack
Yorktown - attack
SJC - pole and fogo
Good Counsel - mid

Not saying I agree with that assessment - just a guess what IL will do.

Landon - which ones? There are 2 attacks, 3 pole/lsm
Yorktown - yes
SJC - which poles? There are 2 good ones. What about the middie and attack?
GC - which one?
Any GZ 4's?

Yes.

Just watched the public school 4 /5 star. No chance at 5’5” should he be rated that high. What are we doing here, rating on crappy summer ball and public school stats? I’ve seen 30 others this summer just as good with higher ceilings.
