I’m so sick of dogs everywhere

Dogs are literally expressly not allowed in Starbucks. Tie your dog up outside the store or leave them home.

And I say this as the owner of three dogs.

Starbucks gives free pupcups (whipped cream in a cup) for your dog if you buy a coffee. They don't care.

Dogs are sick of you, too. Oh well.

The country has a loneliness problem and the ones with a dog think the dog will cure that. Or they keep it for security. The fact that humans in this country can't seem to walk around a block without a dog is very very troubling.

This judgy post that's projecting pp's sadness onto dog owners is very troubling... for pp, who seems to be assuming that dogs are nothing more than emotional crutches. Surprise, some dog owners without yards need to take their dogs to the park or for potty breaks. Other dog owners, like us, think it's good for the dog to engage with the great outdoors for mental stimulation.

OP, this sounds like a you problem. We're sick of people like you whining about every little thing that doesn't go 100% your way.

I cannot stand seeing dogs in grocery stores. I kid you not. Harris Teeter at Crown in Gaithersburg always seems to have a person walking a dog there and some of the dogs look really dirty. I'm a lifetime dog owner and I cannot fathom why someone would go grocery and bring their dog.

I was at a kid's sports event this weekend at an elementary school in NW. There were several no dogs signs on school grounds yet at the same time several dogs hanging around. When I commented on it someone laughed and said "yea, if you're white and west of Connecticut you can do whatever you want."

Pretty much sums it up.

Yeah, that doesn’t mean you can bring your dog into the store. You take them through the drive thru or tie them up outside or bring the pup cup home.

This thread is confirmation that unsocialized dogs are that way because they have unsocialized owners.

I've seen dogs inside the local Starbucks, probably waiting for their pupcups, so there's that.

Yeah, you have issues yourself. Learn to be more flexible and to accept, even to appreciate, that other people make different decisions from you, including wrt pets.

DP and no, I don't have to accept it when other people break laws or store policies in ways that directly impact me.

I don't care what you do with your dog in your house.

I went to a client office meeting last week and the client company dog pawed at me in my nice outfit while I was sitting at their conference table. The admin eventually pulled him away. It was a pretty big dog.
