I wear the pants in my marriage and I hate it

I never thought I would run the show but my DH is so laid back and unmotivated I feel like I keep pushing him forward. I am so tired and feel stressed out.

I am jealous of women who have functioning husbands who can be lazy because their husbands are smart and motivated

Um...sounds like things are getting done and he doesn't even need to move his finger.
Which means he wears the pants.

What is he laid back and unmotivated about? Hard to tell if you are nagging type A who doesn't know how to just relax or if you have a lazy jerk husband.

its fine to vent but you know the drill get off DCUM and talk to your husband

If you wore the pants, then you could direct him to do things for the family and he would do them. Sounds instead like you do all the work. That doesn't mean you wear the pants.

He’s wearing panties...

Dont worry, you have plenty of company. Every woman in DCUM thinks her DH is lazy and incompetent.

Of course, if he wore the pants you'd be in here moaning that he is "controlling and emotionally abusive".

I pretty well run the show in my house because I’m very organized and detail oriented. My DH was a few things he’s responsible for and he does them well but he has no interest in all the stuff required to keep a house going. On the other hand he manages our investments and he makes a ton of money and never questions what I spend. So I may wear the pants when it comes to our home but I have no problem with it.

Time to get him diagnosed with Asperger's

I had the same problem and talked to him about it. He stepped up his game.

I feel you OP. its a total turn off. Im a feminist but damn a woman needs a real alpha who can make shyt happen.

Isn’t ADHD the preferred DCUM diagnosis?

ADHD husband, autistic kid — all the ladies have them!

Op here. He doesn’t make much money either. He doesn’t have a vision or goals.

PP - then you do have a problem! Was he always like this? I don’t think this happens overnight. I can see that spending a lifetime with someone like that would be miserable.
