I have peach fuzz pretty much everywhere, but it's starting to darken on my upper lip. I think it's too fine for electrolysis, and I don't want to pay for laser. Yet. So what are the options? If I wax it, I'll still have the blond fuzz on my cheeks, so that would be weird. Are there better bleaches out there than there were in my mom's day?
I really appreciate any suggestions and recommendations. |
| If it's not dark or you have a darker complexion, laser won't work very well. You can do electrolysis though. Don't wax it. Pulling hair out by the roots will make it grow in darker and thicker. And you will end up with a wrinkled upper lip when you are older. You can bleach it but it may also stand out depending on the color of your skin. |
| I recommend threading. |
Will threading leave the finer, lighter little hairs? I worry about the "fuzz void" I'd get if I waxed. |
A good threader will take care of this too. |
| They make a Nair for Face cream now. I put it on my upper lip and my cheek fuzz, and it worked like a charm. As soon as my husband saw me he said, "You look so . . fresh!" |
I second this. It makes putting on make-up and foundation much easier. I use the Sally Hanson brand. |
Wow, this is so not true. |
Glad you pointed out it's not true. It doesn't even make sense. |

Does the hair come back stubbly? If not how does it come back? How often do you have to do it? I have the same problem OP and have been trying to figure out what to do. Anyone use that little buffer thing they have on TV for all types of hair? |
The hair doesn't come back stubbly when you use the cream. I use it all over my jawline for peach fuzz every few weeks. It actually doesn't work as well for the upper lip hair as I would like because that hair is a bit coarser. One tube usually lasts me a few months or so. I put it on right before I get in the shower, and then by the time I wash my hair it is ready to come off, I just keep the spray off my face until I take it off. I tried the little buffers and it didn't work for me, it just left the skin all red and didn't do much else. Another option for quick touch ups are those little tiny electric razors that cvs sells for $10 in the "seen in tv" section and look like silver mascara tubes. But the peach fuzz grew back a lot quicker for me when I shaved it versus the nair-type products. |
| Please, please and double please-post on Beauty forum. It's there for a reason. Use it. This is one of the reasons people object to extraneous forums on this site-people don't even bother to use them anyway. |
| I third threading- I'm addicted. |
