I second this. It makes putting on make-up and foundation much easier. I use the Sally Hanson brand.

Does the hair come back stubbly? If not how does it come back? How often do you have to do it?

I have the same problem OP and have been trying to figure out what to do. Anyone use that little buffer thing they have on TV for all types of hair?

The hair doesn't come back stubbly when you use the cream. I use it all over my jawline for peach fuzz every few weeks. It actually doesn't work as well for the upper lip hair as I would like because that hair is a bit coarser. One tube usually lasts me a few months or so. I put it on right before I get in the shower, and then by the time I wash my hair it is ready to come off, I just keep the spray off my face until I take it off.

I tried the little buffers and it didn't work for me, it just left the skin all red and didn't do much else.

Another option for quick touch ups are those little tiny electric razors that cvs sells for $10 in the "seen in tv" section and look like silver mascara tubes. But the peach fuzz grew back a lot quicker for me when I shaved it versus the nair-type products.

Ok, one more question. Sorry I am a little parinoid about messing with the fuzz and having it come back 10 times thicker and darker

So when you nair and it starts to grow back does it just look like shorter fuzz? I mean is it more noticable, less, the same? Thanks!

OP - electrolysis on the upper lip will be very painful. I'm a huge fan of laser - relatively inexpensive and you're done after a couple sessions. Or you can use a depilatory.

I am the one that originally suggested the dipilatory cream & no no no no no to the PP. I did electrolysis on my upper lip EXTENSIVELY. Like, for years and, for the year before my wedding, I did weekly (sometimes 2x weekly) sessions of up 45 minutes on my upper lip. I had dark hair on my upper lip (and elsewhere) and I simply wasn't going to go through life that way. It ain't no walk in the park. But if you put on Emla (or its successor) cream an hour before and also take 2 tylenol + 2 advil you can do it. I did it, and I am a total wussy. But part of it is how bad you want something. The only part that got especially painful was when it got a bit inside my nose. That was intense, and it made me sneeze like crazy, so we only did a very few of those at a time (I didn't have that many).

Laser will not work on your face. It will scar your face. And the hair will return. It is a terrible idea.

With electrolysis, the dark hairs never returned. After awhile I noticed some fine white hairs. They bugged me, but I no longer have time for electrolyis (if I did, I would go back), so I use the cream.

I did electrolysis on my chin as well and got an almost completely successful result. Occasionally I take a tweezer to my chin but that's it.

Please do your research before you completely shoot down a method. Lasering does not scar your face! Maybe if you buy one of those $700 at-home laser products and use it incorrectly, but if you go to a proper doctor it'll be fine. I know people that have had hair removed via laser, as well as someone that had a port wine stain removed via laser. Both with excellent results.

Laser hair removal is not recommended for small areas on your face. Period. It not only has the potential of damaging your face, but it is not permanent and it hurts, too. Maybe not as much as electrolysis, but it is no picnic either.

The only way to permanently remove unwanted hair is through electrolysis. It is time consuming, not exactly cheap, and not a picnic, either. However, it will never damage your skin, and if you do it enough, you will get permanent results.

It's a no-brainer.

You want to laser you legs or your bikini area -- fine. But don't let anyone take a laser to your face and expect anything good to happen as result, despite what they may be trying to sell you.

Any depilatory products out there for women with extremely sensitive skin?

Where I go for lasering, one of the most asked for services is lip fuzz. It works -but you have to go to a qualified expert who knows what they are doing.

I wax at home, have for years, and it's fine. Takes 5 minutes after the wax is heated. I do it about once a week. Another option is to wax and lighten later in the week. I'd use Jolen, bleaches and softens the hair.

...Jolen, which bleaches...

Agree. I didn't notice a difference in the hair growing back when I used the Sally Hanson facial remover product.

I did laser hair removal on my upper lip and was happy with the results. I went to to Alase. I don't think it would have worked for the peach fuzz on the jawline, though -- I think that hair would be too fine/light for laser hair removal (they say the hair needs to be dark/coarser for laser removal to work).
