Talk to me about Native shoes

Anonymous
Are they comfy?
Do they last?
Do you wear socks?
Do they smell?
Do they run large/small/just right?

Other thoughts? Looking for an 8 and 5 year old

You can put them in the dishwasher or washing machine if they smell or get dirty.

You can wear socks. My toddler loves hers and wants to wear them in the winter. It doesn't look that dumb with socks and pants. They look better without socks.

My kids live in them all summer. They are antimicrobial.

Also they run true to size to slightly big.

Don't get the knock offs. I did that last summer and they looked terrible within the first week. The previous year and this year we have the real Natives again.

Kids like wearing them.
Yes, they last.
No socks.
No they do not smell.

So easy to clean.

OP here. Thanks. I think i am sold.
They can't wear open toed shoes for camps and i hate them wearing sandals for bike riding and long walks. These i hope will work for the warm months!

Be aware that they run narrow. My kids refused to wear them and much prefer Crocs.

DD is 4 but she lives in Natives during the warm months. They run true to size if your kids have average to wide feet; DD has narrow feet so the new ones my mom just bought her are a bit floppy on her heels. Hoping she'll grow into them in the next couple months.

Same for us. The Jefferson style runs narrow but the Millers seem to have a little more room. We've tried both and my kids still prefer Crocs.

Op again,
My kids have regular width feed. WE have never had issues with other shoes or sandals so hoping these work out.

My son has worn them every day the last two summers. They’re the best! He’s 4.5 and I need to get him a pair for this summer soon!

They are awesome and look so much better than Crocs

I clean my kids in the sink with a magic eraser and a little dish soap. They look brand new despite my kids abuse.

My youngest doesn't like wearing hers without socks - they rubbed a little and chafed her upper foot area.

My son hated them. On really hot days, his feet swell and he'd have the imprint of the shoes' holes on his feet. He's not picky about shoes, but flat-out refused these after this happened a few times. Also - at the playground, little bits of woodchip get in the holds. Not comfy. Tried sock, but just gave up as the little splinters work their way into the socks too.
