Clemente waitpool

Wanted to check what to expect if kid is on the clemente waitpool. Does anyone have info on if appealing again would help and with what info. I am thinking if my kid doesnt get off the wait list by March end - its pretty much impossible after that right ? How did this work last year - any info on what to expect in terms of timelines and any thoughts suggestions recommendations would help. Thank you in advance!

I know 2 kids on waitpool who got in. I will be surprised if there is any more movement, unless there are students who got in both RCMS and MLK and chose MLK.

I have a question about appealing, if you are in the wait pool and appeal ...does that mean you have a chance to get in?
I was always under the impression appealing just places the student in the wait pool, and if you are already in the wait pool there really isnt any purpose to appealing. Anyone have any insight into this?

In the past, if you were in the waitpool, appealing allowed additional information (qtr 2 grades) to be included, plus additional teacher recommendation letters to be added to your file. You still had to be evaluated against other waitpool students, and there still had to be an opening in order for your child to be offered a place. Now, they are automatically adding system information for all waitpool students and re-reviewing them before additional placements are offered. You can't get it on appeal if they don't have a spot, and if there is a spot, all waitpool students are considered, not just you.
