Anyone have any insight into this?[/quote] In the past, if you were in the waitpool, appealing allowed additional information (qtr 2 grades) to be included, plus additional teacher recommendation letters to be added to your file. You still had to be evaluated against other waitpool students, and there still had to be an opening in order for your child to be offered a place. Now, they are automatically adding system information for all waitpool students and re-reviewing them before additional placements are offered. You can't get it on appeal if they don't have a spot, and if there is a spot, all waitpool students are considered, not just you.[/quote]
