Wireless earbuds-Recommendations Please

Anonymous
I am an audio junkie, both audiobooks and podcasts. I have had several wireless earbuds but none of them have been great when I try to exercise while I am wearing them. I think my Bose ones were the best I had but they still didn't feel secure. I haven't tried the Air pods but those don't look all that secure.

Do any of you have wireless earbuds that you use for exercise that work well?

Thanks.

You can try Airpods and return them in 14 days if you buy them from Apple if you don't like them.

I use them and like them but think they are not so secure with vigorous exercise. For my hiking and walking they are fine. As they are a little loose (they kind of hang in the ear instead of plug the ear), I can forget they are there which makes them comfortable, and they let in enough ambient sound you can talk to people without taking them out.

I don't always agree with Wirecutter's recommendations but they are always worth a look:

I love my Air Pods so much.

When an AirPod falls between and under seats on a plane you will curse that you ever bought them. I know I did!

Airpods are more fragile than I thought. I dropped one -- just a few feet -- and didn't think much of it as they are so light but the plastic shell cracked. It is still holding together and works but if I were concerned about it falling out during exercise I'd look at alternatives.

Meant to add that they are very comfortable too. I find Air Pods weirdly shaped and they hurt my ears.

Another Powerbeats fan. I use them for running and they are very comfortable and secure in my ear.

I just bought a bootleg version of the AirPods last night, I got sucked in by an ad on Instagram. I'll review them once I get them delivered.

However, they are matte black and cost me only $40! I really want a pair of EarPods but there is no way I can justify the $150 cost for something I will lose or break within 6 months lol

Not earbuds, but I like my trekz titanium wireless headphones for both running and listening to podcasts on my commute.

They don’t sit in your ears, so you can still hear what’s happening around you, which is safer.

I wanted to test out different styles before committing to an expensive brand, and I got these knockoff Powerbeats on Amazon, and I actually find them quite good and very comfortable. They feel very secure when running, I would worry with AirPods they would all out.

FYI—AirPods are now $129 at Costco—the 2nd generation is coming so they’ve been marked down. I think they were $139 at Costco before they sold out at Christmas. Thinking of picking up a pair for DH for Father’s Day.

I love my air pods and haven't had a problem with them falling out. They are amazing.
