It really gets good around photo 65. Strangely I like some parts of it.

That’s horrible. |
I like the kitchen ceiling.
Otherwise, WTF? |
maybe they own a jewelry store? |
I want to see what the people who own this house look like. They must be quite eclectic. |
Whoa... that is something else. I'm not terribly familiar with what stuff typically costs in this corner of town- anyone have any insights on whether the price reflects the fact that almost every single surface in this house will need to be redone, or is the listing agent just pretending that there aren't seashells hot glued to the moldings? |
That's a new kind of hideous. It's a gut job. On a major road and way overpriced. Pass. |
And the galley kitchen does the house no favors. |
I love the decor! But not the location. |
This is destined to become a DCUM classic. Can’t tell if I enjoy the palm tree on the stairwell more or the jewelery case in the basement.
Thank you, OP. |
It was on the market for over a year in 2011 and never sold. Started at $2,595,000 and then went down to $1,799,000.
Now $2,299,000? They have not done a thing? No house needs 99 photos. Especially this house. This is what happens when you hire a discount broker. Take note, agent haters. Best of luck. |
Owners must be mentally ill. |
Miss Haversham got into the watercolors again. |
I think the owners (the wife?) have a business and the basement is set up as their shop. That would explain the glass case like the ones found in a jewelry store. And I think I spotted price tags hanging from the frames on the walls in the basement room.
It is an .... eclectic house. But I will say I'm sure it made the owners very happy to live there. |
You know what, I hate that but I can appreciate people who lived in their houses and decorated the way they wanted and didn't spend all day on DCUM and Houzz trying to figure out what bland paint to use that would be OK for resale 30 years on. |
