Best restaurants near Mosaic?

Anonymous
We just moved a few months ago about 5 min drive from mosaic. Other than the restaurants there at Mosaic I have no idea what’s good.

We like iron chef house for sushi. Bar taco for Mexican. Cava. Choolah. True food. Match box. But we want to mix it up now. Any ideas? We like all food - pizza, Italian, Indian, Asian cuisine, Mexican, seafood etc. so all ideas welcome! Thanks!

Depends on how near you want. Bonchon or Choong man for Korean fried chicken; hotspot or uncle liu for Chinese hot pot.

Have you tried Raouche Cafe? It's a Lebanese place on Gallows (I think) and it's so damn good!

+1 on Raouche. Trio Grill, Fava Pot, Taco Bamba, Jaipur are all really good and close to you.

and we were supposed to know this, and make suggestions, how?

One of my pet peeves on this board is that every poster assumes we know what they are talking about / where they are talking about.

"What is going on at CVS today?! What a ruckus!" ....

"Did y'all see the new Starbs barista? What's on her arm?"

All the restaurants mentioned in the OP are in Merrifield. Reading comprehension and context are important, PP.

Not sure it is well known that there is more than one Mosaic.

So four sisters in the older part of Mosaic is awesome.

If you want a Great American Restaurant, Sweetwater is behind Mosaic on gatehouse.

Down 29 there is pizzeria orso, which is not outstanding but it's pretty good for families

El tio on 29 is good for Mexican and I think better than cyclone anaya's.

Not sure if it has lasted, but a few months ago family-friendly Brew House kind of like caboose but a little lower rent, opened
near El tio on 29

then there is new caboose up there if you are a 20 or 30 year old parent of a young child and want to hang out at a bar.

As someone mentioned, 2941 for more upscale dining.

And all up and down gallows and 29 is a plethora of ethnic restaurants. I do not love Jaipur like others do. My preference is to just go into falls Church or Fairfax for Haandi or Bollywood
