Best restaurants near Mosaic?

there is a Thai restaurant on gallows behind Mosaic and gatehouse called elephant jumps Thai that everybody seems to love. Just as a warning, I have eaten there twice, and twice I have come home sick as a dog. But everybody else seems to do okay there

The one in Merrifield.

and we were supposed to know this, and make suggestions, how?

One of my pet peeves on this board is that every poster assumes we know what they are talking about / where they are talking about.

"What is going on at CVS today?! What a ruckus!" ....

"Did y'all see the new Starbs barista? What's on her arm?"

I knew exactly what she was talking about you didn’t so why comment?

Lost dog
4 sisters
Sweetwater tavern
Cava

I haven't gotten sick, but I honestly don't understand what the hype is about. We like Sisters Thai so much better.

14:52 gave you some great answers! I'd like to add anything in Vienna -- we really like Maple Ave Restaurant and Bazins (all are on the pricey end). And in Falls Church City, we visit Mad Fox, Liberty BBQ, and also love Haandi. You're also not far from Tysons, but I don't know what's out there other than Nostos.

Uh, can you READ? Mosaic District in Virginia. Mosaic in Rockville is a RESTAURANT, not a part of town.

Near you, Lost Dog, Trio, and Sweetwater Tavern. Up near Vienna, Sushi Yoshi, Yama, Plaka Grill, Sunflower, Cafe Renaissance. Also Artie's in Fairfax. In Tyson's, Cafe Deluxe.

If you like Mosaic you may also like Fairfax Corner and Reston Town Center. Passionfish in Reston is good.

A little it further down from Mosiac, is a great Egyptian restaurant called Fava Pot. It’s located on Lee Highway.

Sea Pearl is very good - a bit fancier than the others

Avoid JINYA Ramen Bar. Over priced mediocre food.

We really like Tequila Grande on Maple Ave, although I heard it might close down soon
