I saw this post in HOUZZ and most people kept them in the bathroom. I keep mine in every room of the house with a cover. There were lots of suggestions for covers in the HOUZZ post and all polite responses.
So I’m curious to see how this conversation might go DCUM-style. So ladies, where do you keep your tissue boxes? Covered or uncovered? |
| We use handkerchiefs, might buy a box of tissue if someone is really sick. In that case they are just kept near the sick person |
| Bathrooms, in a coordinating cover. Can’t have them any place else or dogs would have a field day with them. |
| Every room. With a kid in day care, if they're not in easy reach, chances are snot will wind up on a hand or shirt or me first. Never heard of covering them. |
| Everywhere. Bathrooms, one box on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen, one box in the car, a box by the bedside of anyone who's sick... |
| Ew. Anywhere but the bathroom. Usually bedside because someone is sick. |
| We have a box in the bedroom and a box in the living room. They are not covered. |

I hate having tissue boxes everywhere because my son has allergies and is always snotty, but I never thought of getting covers. So, OP, I went and just bought one off Houzz for the most prominent box in our kitchen. This one:

| Everywhere, especially since we had kids. There’s nothing worse than needing a tissue and not having one nearby! We have them on every nightstand, the living room, kitchen, my office. No covers. |
| Nowhere! I rarely buy tissue boxes. If I do, i keep them in Kids rooms. |
OP here. I like that one. |
I didn't realize that buying them when you aren't sick is a common thing. |
| All over the house. No covers. |
| Kitchen, bathrooms, my bedroom, my hone office. No covers. I buy Kleenex and pick designs that I like reasonably well. |
| Dining room, bedrooms, office. Never in bathrooms, that's gross. No covers. |
