I have 3 kids - 2 boys and a girl. We are extremely punctual. I always get the kids ready first. If my toddler has a fit about changing, we may leave the house with whatever she is wearing.
I have met a few moms with girls whose girls are better dressed with hair done with accessories. These new mom friends are so unpunctual, like over an hour unpunctual. I can’t help but think if you didn’t do your THREE daughters’ hair and your own, you could have been on time. Then again, my hair is usually in a high ponytail and I wear mostly athleisure. I get ready in 5 minutes. |
So stupid and provocative.
No, punctuality depends on one's personality and whether one has the type of ADHD that has a time-management component. Both my son and husband have diagnosed ADHD and struggle with time management. I have a different type of ADHD and am always on time. I have a well-dressed daughter with long hair, too ![]() |

Stupid post. The child's sex has no bearing on punctuality. BTW, "unpunctual" isn't a word. "Late" or "tardy" are. |
It has nothing to do with the gender of their child and everything to do with the parents' personalities and priorities. I have a coworker who has 3 boys and is perpetually late for everything. My brother and SIL also have a son and they are rarely on time. This doesn't mean that "parents of boys are always late." It means that those individuals have a problem being punctual. That's it. |
Let's not feed the troll |
Haha, I have one boy and I'm always late. |
Are you proud that you are late? |
No. I wonder if they have adhd or if they’re bad at managing time or if they’re just inconsiderate. |
No, I have only girls and I am always on time (meaning early). Also, my girls' hair is always done and they are always dressed nicely (for the occasion). My SIL has three boys and has never been early a day in her life. |
Nope. Total type-A Mom with two girls (ages 5 & 7). My husband is always the last one ready. |
I have four girls. We're always 5-15 minutes early. |
I think it’s more kid - centric. I matter how much time I plan for, my kid always pushes it longer and we’re always running behind. He’s got a dentist appointment at 9am and I feel like I need to start getting him ready now so we’re not late. |
Yes, #boymoms are usually on time, mostly because they are happy to let their #boychildren mess up someone else’s home or public space, considering all the running and jumping amok.
Of course, they only have pants and a shirt to deal with, not tutus and the like, and usually potty train late so they can just throw on a pull up. |
Preach!! |
