Do you think moms with girls are more unpunctual?

A nurse told me when I had a baby that people who are ge really late will run even later with kids. But if you are punctual to begin with you will have no problem getting out of the house.

Are you proud that you are late?

No, I just think this question is inane.

That makes sense.

I have met a few moms with girls whose girls are better dressed with hair done with accessories. These new mom friends are so unpunctual, like over an hour unpunctual. I can’t help but think if you didn’t do your THREE daughters’ hair and your own, you could have been on time.

Then again, my hair is usually in a high ponytail and I wear mostly athleisure. I get ready in 5 minutes.

No.

I don’t know anyone that is over 30 minutes late for anything, but even if it’s a play date at a house or playground I’d be unconcerned.

Totally. Complicating your life with a spouse, a kid or two, a house to take care of and 2-4 people’s achedules can really magnify one’s bad habits (messy, unorganized, poor communicator, losing things, time Mgmt). Or uncovers one’s untreated ADHD.

Also, I'm like 10-15 minutes late...not an hour.

Type A-/B+ mom to one preschool-aged girl. We both have curly hair and are usually ready well before my bald husband.

I run late solo, less so with kid as I expect things to go off the rails so prepare better. However drop off can be a crapshoot between early or just on time for class. Mornings are not our favorite.

Fixed it for you: Less punctual

Apparently, it's a word in the dictionary. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/unpunctual

My answer to this question- no, my friends who have boys/ girls/ combination of both are always late. Very disrespectful.

Less punctual. Not more unpunctual.

Mom of two girls here and we're always on time. My girls used to be clean, well dressed and groomed when they were young enough for me to do this for them. Now they are tweens/teens and complete slobs. But, we are still on time!

This is me. But having kids has made me more punctual. I learned quickly that if you are ten minutes late to kindergarten pick-up, you will have a sad child sitting in the office. I actually cut back my hours at work so that I finish a full hour before pick-up even though it’s only ten minutes away.
I think this is what most very punctual people do. They just plan to be wherever they are going long before they actually have to be there. That way if they are running ten minutes late, they are still on time. I tend to do things like schedule a lunch meeting from 12-12:50 with another meeting from 1-2, and if someone wants to talk to me, I will tell them I will meet them walking in the hallway from 12:50-1pm. Stuff like this tends to make me late several times a day. I should probably stop.
