I do think it’s funny has conservative (clothing wise) and appropriate she is being this time around. Maybe last time she was having more fun with it and this time she doesn’t even want to put forget that much effort? Or she finally understands th assignment, which is to look appropriate, smile, and don’t create bad press? It’s so different from last time around where she just had all sorts of wacky choices like pith helmets and long red leather gloves. I wonder if she’s using the body double more and it’s easier to do that if she’s wearing basic clothing?

I think this is the only conspiracy thing I’ve ever believed in my life! I thought it was ridiculous but the posters in volume I and II of this thread convinced me. There were definitely pictures of her wearing sunglasses on the tarmac where she was not the right height and the build was slimmer through the shoulders and chest, and the jawline was different. I figured that she didn’t want people to be able to easily track where she was, and it was commonly known that she was spending time in Potomac with her parents and son, so having someone that looked like her getting on a plane with him was a good feint. I thought people were crazy at first saying it, but there were a bunch of pictures that were really pretty convincing. I actually haven’t seen any like that this admin so maybe she’s stopped doing it.

I think even the Nazi wives knew that going to mourn the young men sacrificed by your evil husbands required a bit of decorum.

The thing about Usha wearing a leather skirt to a memorial for murdered children is, she doesn't know any better. She has bad taste and doesn't give a shit about fashion. Someone told her to wear that, she was like, okay, well, it's black, and went on with her day.

Melania gives a shit about fashion, she just doesn't give a shit about being First Lady. As evidenced by wearing the cigarette pants and work blouse to a black tie gala.

And again, before the "You're just saying that bc her DH is Trump!" I usually like her style. And like, I think the outfit she wore to the dignified transfer is nice. It's just not appropriate for a dignified transfer.

Usha actually did much better this go around. Someone has been coaching her on style the last few months and she's actually getting somewhere.

DP. You're both very silly. Different angles, makeup, sunglasses, lighting may have made her look different at times, but there is no body double.
