TJ Girls in District Basketball Final

So proud of the TJ girls beating Marshall (bigger school with more athletes and fewer scholars) to make the basketball final against Edison this Friday. Edison is crazy good, but you have to love TJ succeeding at sports again.

What an asshole thing to say. You probably don't even know why that would be offensive. I don't even have a kid in high school but that is just a messed up thing to say.

Wow, take a chill pill. It’s a statement of fact!

What part of it is offensive? OP didn't say Marshall kids are dumber, it's just that TJ is a very academically selective school with less of a focus on athletics--it's ranked accordingly. Saying otherwise would be lying to yourself.

I’m a TJ grad and these comments are embarrassing and shameful. I’m really hoping they were from kids and not parents.

Fewer scholars? Unless Marshall literally has fewer students, yes, pp is implying something offensive about the students they don’t deem to be scholars.

I dislike the scholars language in OPs post but no need to make sweeping generalizations about TJ kids or parents from
One person’s post. Congrats to the TJ Girls. That’s awesome!

Scholars = AP Scholars, NMSFs, etc.

An update:
TJ girls lost their district backetball finals to an excellent Edison team.

Marshall and TJ girls both won their first round games in their regional tournaments.

Good luck to both teams.

Just in case you've forgotten, TJ is a very selective STEM magnet school. All of their students are strong academically. Their students win more academic awards than any base school!

Pray tell, how could we forget with you constantly bringing it up? It's like you think it's significant or something.

And most importantly, a huge f*ck off to their parents.

And proud of it.

That’s how my TJ kid describes herself and her friends. And views it as a positive. It takes all types, and I’m glad my kid found a place she loves.

No doubt you and your kid are FULL of pride. Why don't you try humility? and have some compassion for other people?
