How do you interact with your SO during the work day?

Call on the way to work, call on the way home. If something happens that needs attention, email or text. He can call back if he has time. Only emergencies get calls from me.

Text. I’ll text him wooohooo I’m getting a lot done. I pack his lunch (calm down he’s perfectly capable of it. It’s an act of love for me) so he will text me and say thank you when he’s eating or comment on the cheesy love note I included.

Texts towards the end of the day are utilitarian- we’re out of milk. Who is picking up the kid. Need cash. Etc etc

If we are both bored, we text conversationally. If one or both of us are busy (which has been the case lately), we just do the utilitarian stuff.

He drives me to/from the metro station, so we always do the “leaving the office now” text, so that we can time that.

Sometimes he'll call in the morning, when he's still home and I'm driving to work.

We'll gchat during the workday if we're both having a slow day.

Otherwise not too much.

I don't. We're at work.

I don't have a way to contact DH at work unless I call his desk line, but he's often not sitting at his desk when I call anyways. He doesn't have a cell phone or gchat at work.

Yes we usually exchange a few texts about something. Calls when it's something that's too complicated/hard to arrange over text or when one of us needs a password for some account, which happens maybe twice a month.

We text a couple of times during the day. We have Google fi phones and use hang outs.

Sometimes about important things (who is taking care of dinner, change of plans, reminder to reach out to someone)
Sometimes.its about silly things (I just sent DH a story about using giant snakes to interrogate people in Indonesia and I'm terrified of snakes). He will respond when he gets to it.

I work nights so sometimes he will send me a logistics text in the AM (DS can't find his shoe, have I seen it)

Somedays we gchat or text intermittently (can be dumb stuff like a stupid meme or practical stuff like what time is early dismissal for DS). Sometimes one or both of us are super busy and we go all work day without connecting. Almost never call each other.

Text mostly. She's sometimes unreachable at work, though. Certain areas where cell phones aren't allowed. And it's usually about mundane things like picking up something from the store or complaining about a coworker.
