My family is a member of the national zoo, and we have the type of membership where both my husband and I have a card. My parents will be in town watching my son in a few weeks and I think they would enjoy an outing to the zoo, which would be easier if they could park there as part of our membership. They could just pay the $$ but would rather not since we are members. Does the parking attendant ever check IDs to make sure the names line up? We have only used the membership twice and I don't remember if they did it or not... Thanks!
They don't.
Usually no, but I have had them check occasionally.
They sometimes check the name to see if it matches. My husband usually hands over my ID and membership card but I don't think they check to see if I'm actually in the car. If you sent your ID along I bet it would pass.
+1 |
They always ask for mine.
We've been members for 3 years and have probably been to the zoo 20 times. They've never once asked for an accompanying ID to the parking pass.
They cracked down and now they are checking !
The last time we were there, they asked for ID and checked to make sure I was in the car! First time in five years we had been asked for ID!
Do they have the same last name as on the card? If so, I’d do it, have them supply ID if asked, and have them play dumb if it’s even noticed (grandkids, didn’t know we couldn’t, blah blah).
Just got a membership this past summer and they've checked my ID every time since.
I wrote a note in the past for my nanny.
.... and the note had a photocopy of my ID |
I’ve been checked every time (and gave the parking pass to my relative with a same name that’s on the parking pass...they compared his bday and made him pay).
We’ve always been asked for our ID.
