| It’s random but they do! |
| I’ve had them check every time in the past 2 years. |
| They checked ours every time. |
| Always. Maybe same gender same last name wouldn’t be a big deal.... good luck! |
| They check sometimes. Fortunately for us, my husband is named for his father, so the names match! |
|
I have ALWAYS been asked for my ID.
Not sure if it’s a coincidence, but I’m a woman of color. |
| We have always been asked. |
| I am about half the time.My husband always is though. |
| I would just let them try to use it. If they ask for Id, just say they are grandparents. Worst thing that happens is they have to pay for parking. |
| It’s a higher level of membership to get additional people beyond you and spouse included so I think it’s kinda stealing and definitely unethical for grandparents to try to sneak in with your membership to get free parking. We just paid for the upgrade and put my moms name on the membership. The zoo is funded by taxpayers and a nonprofit and takes care of endangered species so I am definitely judging anyone who tries to game this system. |

We always get IDd. We pay a bit extra to have a pass for ourselves and my local parents.
Baltimore aquarium lets you send a note and member card with your kid and a caregiver. Maybe ask the zoo if they would take a note from you the membership holder. |
It’s not really unethical - the kids are members too. I noted Below that Baltimore aquarium has a procedure for this scenario. |
