What headphones does your husband wear?

Bose? Beats?

Needing to find my husband some.

He is 39. Is he too old for beats?

He uses some no name wireless ones for working out. I think he got them off Groupon.

He also has the Bose noise canceling ones. And for working at home on his computer he listens to music/talks on the microphone and has Turtle Beach or something like that.

Haha DH isn't really into labels if you can't tell.

Bose or Jabra.

Beats are overpriced and trying too hard to be ultracool.

Not trying to have him look cool. This was his argument as well. I am the clueless one and not sure which ones to get him though.

Bose or Jabra, you can find great ones under $250.

But there's many models, try to understand first how he'd use them.

A lot more information is required. Does he want wireless or wired? In what type of environment does he use them? If I am not concerned about background noise, I use Sennheiser HD650. A really good deal is this:

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx

which is a slightly-modified version of the HD650. This is a wired headphone.

If I want to go wireless or am more worried about background noise, I use V-Moda, either the Crossfade 2 Wireless

https://www.v-moda.com/us/en/products/crossfade2-wireless

or the Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition:

https://www.v-moda.com/us/en/products/crossfade2-wireless-codex

(I have both).

I also have earbuds, but that's another topic.

Thank you very much for these. I think wireless. These are great recommendations, I appreciate it. He is going through a pretty tough cancer protocol with daily infusions and a transplant soon. So noise canceling And wireless preferred. I will check out the v Modas. Thank you!! I purchased the beats for him and he laughed and said he wasn’t twenty. I am clueless so this helps tremendously. Thank you!

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's health issues. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery. The V-Modas are not noise cancelling, but they block more noise than the Sennheisers. They operate both wired or wirelessly. If he wants noise cancelling, the best choice is Bose QuietComfort.

My next headphones (pending my wife approval) are the fostex th900mk2

I got DH these for Christmas and he's very happy with them. They are not noise canceling, but can be used wired or wireless. I think Aiwa has been trying to make a comeback?

DH is 35 and absolutely did not want Beats because, as I understand it, their focus is on bass and that's not what he's looking for. Also for me, my favorite pair of headphones (which I no longer have) were Vmoda ear buds. The sound was phenomenal.
