What headphones does your husband wear?

I purchased the Jabra - they were very tinny sounding, and picked up a ton of ambient noise - and then magnified that noise.

If I tried to talk with someone on my cell using them, they would refuse to talk to me until I took them off the earbuds.

Are these a gendered item? Do you just want to know what my husband has, and not what I have?

He likes a pair of $10 earbuds with a wire that doesn't tangle too much he found on amazon, but for a sub $300 present I'd probably go for bose noise cancelling

I love my wireless Jabra for exercise, but indeed I wouldn't use them to take calls.
