I did two cycles in my mid-30s as well, but here are the 40-ish ones:

How many cycles did you do: 1 at 40, 1 at 40.5
Fresh or Frozen: Frozen
What clinic did you use: SGF. CCRM
Your own eggs or donor eggs: Own
How many retrieved: 1st cycle: 6, 2nd cycle: 5
How many fertilized: 1st cycle, 6, 2nd cycle: 2
3 day transfer or 5 day transfer: 1st cycle: 2 blasts sent to PGS testing, 2nd cycle: 1 blast sent to PGS testing (so day 6)
Outcome (Live birth, preg but M/C, didn't work, etc): 1 PGS normal from 1st cycle, awaiting transfer

8 at 42-43 and then DE. After getting pregnant easily at 39. I started IVF testing at 41, but the first retrieval was just after I turned 42.

Pretty easy to guess how the first 8 went. 2 were NCIVF, and I had 2 eggs on one of those. I got plenty of eggs on the other cycles (including a mini-ivf which was the best cycle I had - 9 eggs from that one, so fewer than with more stims), but very few blasts (save the mini). One chemical from the mini, but I never had enough blasts to make testing worth it. Tried day 3 and 5 transfer.

I did cycles at SG, Dominion. I consulted with Cornell (best advice from them, but at the time I thought it was a numbers game, so I didn’t do the mini right away bc I got lots of eggs). Soon after turning 43 I did DE at a clinic in California. Worked on first try with tested blast. Proven donor, fresh eggs. Yay!

How many retrieved: 1st Cycle: 8 eggs/ 3 blasts/ 3 PGS normal; 2nd Cycle: 7 eggs/ 6 blasts/ 2 PGS normal
3 day transfer or 5 day transfer: 6 day embryo chosen even though I had normal 5 day embryos frozen
Outcome (Live birth, preg but M/C, didn't work, etc):
Live birth!
Note: we had male infertility so we had no shot of getting a baby without IVF. I don't think my results were normal for my age and I was told that my egg quality was like someone younger than I was. In other words, I was lucky.
But I had friends with worse numbers than I who were older and who had a live birth after PGS testing. It takes one.

I was lucky, but one cycle is all it took at 41 (I started 2 weeks after my 41st birthday).
I went to SGF
Own eggs
PGS tested
frozen transfer of two 6d frozen blasts
The twins are 2.5 now

Good luck, OP.

I knew the stats and the odds were against me. But I was lucky.

42 when I/we started trying. Pulled birth control, tried clomid as I was turning 43. Went to IVF and was a total non-responder (3 follicles, zero mature eggs). Moved to DE as I turned 44.

One cycle w/ proven donor, 8 eggs/5 fertilized.

Fresh 3 day transfer of the 2 best. One 2 made it past that and were frozen as 6 day blasts.

Fresh failed, did immediate frozen cycle of 2 remaining blasts.

Delivered healthy twins at term and turned 45 in the hospital 3 days later.

Columbia Fertility, w/ a Columbia donor.

Thanks to all that responded. I know my chances are low at 41 but I'm willing to give it a shot. I do have a DD from IVF that I did when I was in my 30's. I was a good responder for that cycle but who knows how I'll do at the age I'm at now.

Here are my stats:

How many cycles did you do: 2 at 40 and 2 at 41
Fresh or Frozen: 3 fresh and 1 frozen
What clinic did you use: SGF
Your own eggs or donor eggs: Own
How many retrieved: 1st cycle: 9, 2nd cycle: 15, 3rd cycle: 6
How many fertilized: 1st cycle, 6, 2nd cycle: 11, 3rd cycle: 4
3 day transfer or 5 day transfer: 1st cycle: 3 day transfer/ 2nd cycle: 5 day transfer / 3rd cycle: 5 day transfer
Outcome (Live birth, preg but M/C, didn't work, etc): first 2 cycles were M/C and 3rd didn't work. Last frozen cycle resulted in live birth.

Best of luck to you!

I am thinking about using DE with Columbia. Do you mind sharing how their pricing works?
