Favorite doc at Capitol Medical Group?

Anonymous
Hi -- I'm thinking of switching to Capitol Medical Group. For those of you who have used them, could you let me know your favorite docs? (or ones to avoid too!) Thanks so much!

There are tons of fairly recent posts if you just do a search for Capital Medical Group. But our favorites (and what seem to be those of many that post here) are Drs. Finkelstein, Snow, and Roche.

I have yet to see one I dont like (have seen Finkelstein, Snow, Roche and Jones). We make our well visits with Snow, because she was the first one we saw (she was the one doing rotations at Sibley when DS was born), and we immediately liked her low-key personality, but I've found Roche and Finkelstein to be much the same way and probably would have stuck with them if they had seen us first. I like Jones just fine, it's just not as much of a personality fit. I know people have different opinions, but I could not be happier at this practice (unless they saw adults too!).

We see Finkelstein regularly for both kids. I like Snow as well and we may see more of her as my daughter gets older. Dr. Sheeran is also WONDERFUL. If we'd seen him earlier on in our "tenure" there, I might have picked him as our regular. He's got more of the experience factor going on, as well as being very knowledgeable about infectious diseases, without some of Dr. Jones' quirks. Jones is good, too, just not my first choice on a regular basis.

Hi, CMG.

Oh please. They probably have thousands of patients. They don't need to monitor forums to recommend a particular doctor for patients who already intend to go to the practice.

Another vote for Dr. Roche and also for Dr. Pearl. Our son sees both of them regularly and I think they're great.

I had an appointment with the new doc, Dr. Wheeler about a month ago. She is great!

And I second the notion that all the docs there are top notch. I have seen just about all of them and haven't had a bad experience yet.

Actually, my friend tried to switch her 12 month old from another pediatrician to CMG this summer and they had to put her on a wait list, so they are certainly not recruiting patients. They might be taking newborns but they told her to try back at the first of the year for her toddler.

We go to CMG and like everyone we have seen, we usually go to Dr. Kadowitz.

I think we've seen most of the docs and I have to say the only one that was a bit weird was Dr.Jones. The rest are great. My favorite is Dr.Finkelstein, but he's not that easy to get in to see.

Another vote for Dr. Finkelstein. While we have liked everyone, we have adored him since we first interviewed him 2 years ago.

OP, there is your answer: don't bother.

We love Finkelstein, Snow, Pearl, and Roche. Jones has a lot of experience, but he is a bit off-beat. I can't remember the other names, but we liked most of them. We also just saw the new doc (Wheeler), and she's good too. The one person we had a bad experience with was Kadowitz.

Love DrWheeler, who was one of the ones to visit us at the hospital in September. Also saw Kadiwitz, and she's good but a bit mor perfuncyory.
