Holy Trinity Episopal Day School - Really?

Tuition being raised to over $11k for kindergarten to 5th (Over was 13k for 6th-8th) which does NOT include $1000 registration fee and $500 endowment fee?!? Liked the school but not at those prices. I’d rather pay $5k more and get a much better school!

Um...so do?

Where is there a "much better school" for 16-18K?

Hmmmm. That’s interesting but honestly, I’m this immediate area, it’s probably one of these best K-8 schools. I would pick there over Riverdale. Honestly, high profile private run upwards of $20k so if admitted, I would take it. LOL

OP: I guess you’re right 14:22. Pickings are slim.

Agree - there are no "much" better schools for a mere $5K more. "Much" better schools start off at around $30K in my opinion - which is way too high for grade school - but every family is different. It's a solid school with a dedicated staff. I would definitely keep it on the list.

Agreed! I applied for their 3 year old program and I’m hoping my son does well on the assessment. I’ll gladly pay $1000 registration fee. We got accepted to a program in VA that’s $23k a year and from what I saw, Holy Trinity is much better so I’ll take it over Riverdale, Reid Temple, Woodstream and all the other not so great schools I toured.

Eh not bad. And the school is better than some alternatives in the area. Might also want to look at St Pius in that price range. If you want to spend more, look at Friends Community School in College Park, or maybe Key School in Annapolis.

My coworker's child had a bad experience there- no thanks!

Seems overcrowded now actually

I have a 3 year old so none of those are an option for me. Worse case scenario, I’ll keep my son is in daycare for another year. I’ll have more options for K-4. Since he has a December birthday, I really didn’t want to do another year of daycare at 4.

They said the cap at 15/16 students. No more than 20 for middle school

Current parent of HT primary school student - in our third year. Keep in mind tuition also includes regular field trips, year book, and school pictures. There may be some things that I’m missing. They rolled those items into tuition based on parent survey. It’s nice that we don’t have to keep paying for things in addition to tuition. I’ve visited St. Anne’s, St. Pius, Friends, Woodstream, and Grace. HT is overall good school, classes are small, and students are happy. We’ve also met some great families. No place is perfect, but we have no regrets about sending our child there.

Thank you for the feedback. I applied for the discovery program. What grade is your child in and how long have they been attending? I really liked what I saw. I am hoping my son is accepted.
